Lowe’s adds new same-day delivery partner

Lowe’s Companies Inc. is achieving a first on the Shipt same-day delivery platform.

The home improvement giant is now offering same-day delivery of live plants, home improvement products, outdoor living items, pre-mixed paint and other products from more than 1,200 locations across the U.S. via Target subsidiary Shipt.

This collaboration follows Lowe's existing partnerships with same-day delivery platforms OneRail and Instacart. Lowe's was also the first dedicated home improvement partner available on the Instacart marketplace and one of the first retailers on the Instacart app to roll out same-day and scheduled delivery for large items, up to 3x3x5 feet and 60 pounds.

With this collaboration, Lowe’s becomes the first home improvement retailer available on the Shipt app and e-commerce site. According to Shipt, expanding into the home improvement space by offering Lowe’s delivery further builds upon its mission to “make shopping easier than ever by offering seamless delivery with unparalleled convenience.”

Based in Mooresville, N.C., Lowe's operates over 1,700 home improvement stores across the U.S. and employs approximately 300,000 associates.

Shipt provides personal shopping and delivery in more than 5,000 U.S. cities. An independently operated, wholly-owned subsidiary of Target Corp, Shipt was founded and headquartered in Birmingham, Ala., and also maintains an office in San Francisco.
