Walmart Canada appoints new chief operations, growth officers
Walmart Canada has announced new changes to its senior leadership team, including two C-suite positions.
John Bayliss has been promoted to COO, leading an expanded position that includes store operations, supply chain, format and real estate development. Most recently, he held the role of Walmart Canada's chief administration officer.
Laurent Duray has been promoted to the role of chief growth officer. This expanded position will focus on alternate revenue streams, such as retail media and financial services, digital enablement, e-commerce and customer understanding. Duray previously held the role of Walmart Canada's chief e-commerce officer.
Additionally, Michon Williams joins the Canadian leadership team in her role as chief technology officer. for Walmart Canada since June of 2021. WIlliams joined Walmart Canada in 2021 as VP, product and delivery
Matt Kelly has been promoted to the role of VP of supply chain for Walmart Canada. He previously held the role of VP of supply chain transformation, where he was responsible for leading Walmart Canada's ongoing supply chain infrastructure reinvention program.
Finally, Joe Schrauder has been appointed VP, head of store operations. He previously held the role of VP, operations & chief of staff to CEO Gonzalo Gebara, leading the project management office and holding responsibility for the central operations and future store operating teams. Before joining Walmart Canada in 2023, he held the role of VP of international operations & realty for Walmart International.

Walmart Canada operates a chain of more than 400 stores nationwide, serving 1.5 million customers each day and employing more than 100,000 associates.
