Sephora is partnering with DoorDash.
Sephora is providing yet another option for customers seeking fast delivery of their online purchases.
The beauty giant is entering a new partnership with on-demand delivery platform DoorDash to offer on-demand delivery from over 500 Sephora stores across the U.S. and Canada. Customers can now shop Sephora's product assortment directly on the DoorDash app and website for delivery in under an hour, on average.
Sephora products will be sold at in-store prices via DoorDash, and members of the Sephora Beauty Insider loyalty program can earn points on every Sephora purchase they make via the DoorDash marketplace by linking their loyalty account on the Sephora store page in the app.
Sephora stores in the U.S. will be also available on DashPass, DoorDash's membership program that offers members unlimited $0 delivery fees and reduced service fees on eligible orders that meet minimum subtotals.
To coincide with the launch of Sephora on the platform, DoorDash has launched a new Beauty tile on the homepage where consumers can shop Sephora products. In addition to on-demand delivery via DoorDash's marketplace, consumers can also shop on the Sephora website for same-day delivery provided by DoorDash Drive, DoorDash's white-label fulfillment platform.
DoorDash is at least the fifth same-day delivery option Sephora offers its customers. In March 2022, the retailer began collaborating with Shipt, the online delivery subsidiary of Target Corp., to offer a range of beauty and wellness products for delivery in as soon as an hour.
And in November 2021, Sephora teamed up with same-day delivery aggregation and orchestration platform Delivery Solutions to enable on-demand fulfillment of digital customer purchases. Leveraging the Delivery Solutions platform, Sephora can manage e-commerce delivery intelligence while the consumer is browsing, as well as offer post-purchase tracking, visibility and communication.
As part of its Beauty on Demand omnichannel fulfillment hub, Sephora offers a proprietary, same-day delivery service. Customers who shop for items on Sephora’s e-commerce site or mobile app can select “same-day delivery” on the product detail page, input their ZIP code, and then add the desired product to their carts.
In addition, the retailer provides same-day delivery via the Instacart platform in as fast as an hour from nearly all store locations across North America. Instacart developed a new consumer shopping design that makes it easier for Sephora customers to seamlessly browse and shop from Sephora’s assortment and quickly find a personalized color through a new, one-click shade selector.
