Gordon Brothers Europe names veteran executive as president

London, U.K. — Gordon Brothers Europe (GBE), a firm specializing in restructurings for the retail, commercial and industrial sectors, has named Heinz Weber as president, overseeing the European subsidiary of Gordon Brothers Group. Weber has more 10 years of leadership experience with GBE, including managing director, head of D-A-CH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), in a 20-plus-year career.

He has assisted on many transactions and established and managed the company’s growth in continental Europe, including the opening of the German office in Cologne and the formation of the German team.

Weber also brings experience of lending and corporate recovery from his prior roles with Landsbanki and Lloyds TSB. Weber moved to the U.K. upon his appointment and will be managing all seven of the GBE European offices from GBE headquarters in London.

Frank Morton, who currently serves as CEO for GBE will be taking a new role as CEO for Gordon Brothers International, responsible for Europe as well as all territories outside of North America.
