Delight Restaurant Group acquires 44 Wendy’s restaurants

Delight Restaurant Group is expanding its footprint.

The company has acquired 44 Wendy's restaurants on Long Island, N.Y. As part of the transaction, Delight plans to build several new Wendy's restaurants in the area and remodel some of the acquired locations. The acquired restaurants were previously owned and operated by The Wendy's Company.

Earlier this year, Delight acquired 54 Wendy's in North Carolina. Delight said it plans to continue expanding, both through acquisitions and new unit development.  

"We are excited to continue and build on the strong performance of the Wendy's restaurants in the Long Island market,” stated Andrew Krumholz, managing partner of Delight Restaurant Group, which operates a total of 155 locations under the Wendy’s and Taco Bell banners.
