Regional supermarket operator Shnucks is the latest grocer to offer customers same-day delivery.
Shnucks has expanded its partnership with Instacart, bringing same-day delivery service to the majority of its Midwestern stores in mid-July. Starting July 13, Missouri stores in Cape Girardeau, Columbia and Jefferson City, as well as Illinois stores in Carbondale, Champaign, Bloomington, Normal, Pekin, Peoria, Savoy, Springfield, Urbana, will be able to order their groceries through schnucksdelivers.com.
“Schnucks is committed to giving our customers premier products and the best shopping experience,” Schnucks chief marketing officer Andrew Nadin said. “Partnering with Instacart to offer Schnucks Delivers online grocery shopping and same-day delivery will allow us to further nourish our communities and provide shoppers the kind of options they expect in order to manage their busy lifestyles.”
As a promotion to celebrate the expansion, Instacart said it would offer Schnucks customers a free year of its Instacart Express service, which allows unlimited free grocery delivery on orders over $35, through Aug. 13.
Schnucks first teamed up with Instacart in February to bring delivery to customers in St. Louis, Rockford, Illinois, and Evansville, Ind.
“Instacart's expansion across the Heartland of America, to meet the goal of serving 80% of American households by 2018, is driven by partnerships with the nation's best retailers like Schnucks,” Instacart chief business officer Nilam Ganenthiran. “We are thrilled to bring same-day delivery to more Schnucks customers across the Midwest.”
